Ep 8- Putting on Your Oxygen Mask

play Play pause Pause
So often, we run ourselves dry trying to meet everyone else’s needs before our own. But what if caring for yourself isn’t selfish, it’s actually faithful?

In today’s episode, we pause to breathe in God’s presence and pray boldly for our own renewal. Through this guided prayer, you’ll be reminded that God never leaves you nor forsakes you, that asking Him for help is an act of trust, and that rest is not a luxury; it’s a necessity when walking in your calling.

You’ll be encouraged to:
  • Lay down your fears, striving, and busyness at Jesus’ feet.
  • Ask God for peace where anxiety has taken root and rest where exhaustion has settled.
  • Step forward with courage, wisdom, and grace anchored in His love.
This episode is your invitation to stop, exhale, and let the Lord fill you with His strength so you can pour into others from a place of wholeness.
Takeaway: It’s not selfish to pray for yourself...it’s faithful.

Scriptures to Pray Over :
  • Hebrews 13:5 – He will never leave you nor forsake you
  • Matthew 11:28-30 – Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
  • Psalm 46:10Be still, and know that I am God.
Reflection & Action Steps
  • Pause daily: Schedule even five minutes to sit in silence and invite God to refill you.
  • Pray for yourself: Begin asking boldly for peace, rest, and strength, knowing that this honors Him.
  • Release the pressure: Write down the busyness, fears, and striving you need to lay at His feet—and surrender them in prayer.
  • Declare truth: Speak this over yourself: “It is not selfish to ask for God’s help. It is faithful. I walk forward in His strength, filled with His grace and anchored in His love.”
