Ep 9 Confidence in Christ, Not in Me

play Play pause Pause
So often, we place our confidence in titles, roles, or the image we’ve built of ourselves, hoping those things will prove we’re enough. But what if the very things we’re clinging to are the things keeping us from fully trusting Christ?

In today’s episode, I share an awakening moment from Philippians 3:3–11 that shifted everything for me. Paul’s reminder that all his achievements were “loss” compared to knowing Christ opened my eyes to the false identities and misplaced confidence I was holding onto. Together, we’ll walk through how to recognize these moments in our own lives, surrender them to God, and step into the freedom of being defined by Him alone.

You’ll be encouraged to:
  1. Recognize the false identities or expectations you may be clinging to.
  2. Surrender the pressure to perform or prove your worth.
  3. Rest in the truth that your value isn’t earned, it’s given in Christ.
  4. Take your own leap of faith by trusting God more than what feels safe or familiar.
This episode is your invitation to release what was never meant to define you and embrace the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus.

Takeaway: Your worth isn’t in what you do, it’s in Who you belong to.

Scriptures to Reflect On
  1. Philippians 3:7–9 – Whatever was gain, I count it all as loss for the sake of Christ.
  2. 2 Corinthians 12:9 – My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.
  3. Galatians 2:20 – It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.
