Hey friend, I'm so glad you're here. Let's take a deep breath because today we're stepping into something powerful. I know what it's like to have your head spinning without wondering if you're doing enough, if you're even worthy of the dreams on your heart. I've been there. And maybe, just maybe, you've heard those lies whispering to you too.
Sarah:I'm Sarah. I'm a wife and a mother of three amazing kids. And a woman who traded in corporate climb for a calling. I've spent over twenty years in corporate America chasing a version of success that looked great on paper but left me exhausted, anxious and distant from the people I love most. It took me hitting rock bottom emotionally, spiritually and mentally for me to surrender and ask God, What now?
Sarah:That was the beginning of a new chapter. I left corporate life behind and stepped into my purpose and created this space for women like you to reclaim your truth and live boldly through faith. This isn't about pretending we've got it all figured out. It's about showing up anyway and letting God rewrite the story your story with His truth. Because you're not alone And those lies, they don't get the final say.
Sarah:So whether you're listening while driving, folding laundry, or just trying to steal a quiet moment for yourself, I pray that this time together blesses you. Let's walk this journey together, one truth at a time. Are you ready?
Sarah:Let's do it. Hey, hey, friends. Okay. I have something I need to share. Let's get right into it.
Sarah:Have you ever had one of those days or even weeks where everything just feels heavy? Like, even the little things are too much. That's been me lately. I recently had this moment. Kids and I decided to go see the Minecraft movie, which by the way, I thought, okay, this could be a good laugh, get away from the day to day routine, but no.
Sarah:It was an emotional experience, and I was just sitting there in the dark, holding back tears, not because of the movie, but because while my kids were laughing and enjoying themselves, I was sitting there thinking about money, about how expensive everything is, about the fact that eggs, yeah, eggs, are like $12 a dozen. I mean, come on. The world is so heavy right now for a lot of us. The news is heavy, the grocery bill is heavy, and the gas tank, don't get me started. But there it is, my anxiety, louder than usual, real loud.
Sarah:But what I wanna talk about, what's been on my heart, is what we do in these moments. When life feels like it's piling up and nothing seems like it's letting up, what do you do? For me, I have to turn to God. I just do. Because if I don't, I'll spiral, I'll get stuck, and I start believing that I've gotta figure it out all on my own.
Sarah:But y'all, I'm tired of trying to carry it all by myself. Let me take you back for a Ten years ago, my business partner, Jennifer, she decided to move to Texas. And ever since then, she's been planting little seeds here and there. You guys should move here. Hey, come move to Texas.
Sarah:I mean, I heard her, I really did. But California was home and my husband wasn't hearing it. He's all about the beach, the sunshine, the whole vibe, and honestly, I wasn't ready either. It just didn't feel like the right time. So then fast forward to 2020.
Sarah:Girl, you know, that pandemic hit, and everything flipped upside down. My mental health, rough. Corporate America was becoming harder. I couldn't give much to my business. My job became impossible.
Sarah:So I had to make a decision, and I chose to walk away from my twenty plus year career, and I lead fully into sweet success with Jennifer from home virtually full time. And now here we are, 2025. Prices are crazy, stress is high, and I've been praying for a financial breakthrough, asking God just make a way because it's been hard. And wouldn't you know it? Jennifer asked me again, would you consider moving to Texas?
Sarah:And y'all, this time I brought it up to my husband and he was open. After all these years, he was like, yeah, let's talk about it. Now listen, I almost fell out. I was like, wait, what? Who are you?
Sarah:And what did you do with my California loving man? I was shook. But honestly, it was a God moment, a moment where I knew he was leading us, asking us to get uncomfortable, to move forward in faith, and to say yes to something new, something scary, something that might just be the blessing we've been praying for. So now we're doing it, we're packing up and moving the family to Texas, and trusting that God is in this, that He's not only going to provide, but He's going to blow our minds with what's waiting on the other side. I wanted to share this today for the mom who feels like she's barely holding it together, for the woman running a business and wondering if it's ever going to get easier, and for the family trying to stretch a dollar when groceries feel like luxury items.
Sarah:You're not alone. You're not crazy or crying at cartoons. You're not weak for needing help. And you're not lost just because life feels uncertain. Sometimes God's asking us to move literally and figuratively because He's got something better.
Sarah:But we've got to trust Him, right? Even when it feels hard, especially if it feels hard. So if you're facing a big decision, or maybe you're just trying to survive this wild economy, I want to encourage you, take a leap, trust the nudge, say yes to what feels scary, but right. You might just be standing on the edge of your breakthrough, I know I am. And if you're anything like me, sometimes the only thing left to do after sharing your heart is to pray.
Sarah:So before we wrap this up, I want to take a moment to pray over you, and over all of us who are trying to walk by faith in the middle of hard decisions and heavy days. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for walking with us through the heavy seasons, the one where anxiety creeps in, where bills feel bigger than our paychecks, and where the path forward feels unclear. In those moments, remind us that You are our provider, our protector, and our peace. Give us the courage to say yes to the new thing You're calling us into, even if it stretches us or feels scary. Lord, please remind us that you go before us and that you already made a way.
Sarah:I pray for every woman reading or listening right now, for the mom, the entrepreneur, the dreamer, the one who's just trying to get through the day. Meet her right where she is, cover her in peace, fill her with hope, and give her a glimpse of the goodness that's still to come. We trust you with our decisions, with our families, and with our future. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Sarah:Alright, that's it for today.
Sarah:If you've ever made a big faith driven decision that changed your life, I wanna hear about it. Send me a message, leave me a comment, DM me, whatever works. Let's share these stories. Let's lift each other up because girl, this world is heavy, but we don't have to carry it alone. I'm sending you a big hug, some deep breaths, and a whole lot of love.
Sarah:Until next time, this is Sarah with Leaps of Faith.
